Here is an experimental design of a made-up magazine cover with our chosen band feactured on the front.
The idea of the name for the magazine developed from 'Rolling Stone', we chose 'Beatle' as a reference to The Beatles. We felt this was appropriate due to The Beatles belonging to a similar genre to our band. The Beatles appeal to our target audience as a major inspiration and we felt people would recognise our magazine as a tribute to them. The font is very basic and stern, we felt that this went well with the indie/rock genre of the magazine, we also gathered our inspiration for the font from magazines such as 'Rolling Stone' and 'NME'. A basic picture of the lead singer of our band was used so people could immediatly identify that they were the main focus in this issue. Arctic Monkeys are also feactured briefly on the cover as they belong to the genre of our band and again, refering back to The Beatles who were an inspiration to the band.
