Most music videos produced today will hold some element of a band performance. Some may include a live performance as well as the track recording, merging the two together to create something different, an example of this would be Mumford and Sons "Roll Away Your Stone". Some music videos will contain mime to the lyrics whilst making it look like a live band performance. Others will create a story line to their video with no band performance, however some will occassionally sing to the lyrics whilst acting so that the story can be seen to have meaning to the song.
We decided to create a story line for our video, with occasional lyrics being mimed. The reason behind this being that we wanted people to listen to the lyrics of the song as we felt that they could support the message of the topic that we were portraying. We linked the lryics to the each scene where possible so that the story line was given a purpose. When people listen to the song, we hope that they can imagine our music video along with the lyrics. We felt that the topic we chose to include in our storyline was very strong and therefore we needed to portray it in not only a sensitive way but also a way that the audience would be completely awaire what was going on.
