Location shots

This picture shows the front door by which the abusive boyfriend will wait by for the return of his girlfriend. The frosted windows create the concept of mystery as to what is outside, almost as though the house is blured from reality when the domestic violence takes place. The poor lighting gives evil and dark impressions about the boyfriend and what takes place in the house. Purple/red flowers are displayed on the window still, one of the only forms of decoration that can be seen in the house. These flowers are closed and lack a sense of blossom which can also be seen in the couples relationship, a lack of blossoming love. The vase is very empty and adds to the empty concept that the house hold. The lack of carpet and use of plain paint and wooden stairway gives the house a sense of emptyness and chill. This location will most definitely be used.

This is the house that we will most definitely film at. The house is detached and therefore shows more vulnerability in the character, she has nobody to help her. The blinds that can be seen in the top window almost represents the captivity that she suffers from as they act as prison bars.

This is the gate at the house we will be shooting at. It could be an idea to use this gate as it resembles being 'caged in' and living in a 'prison like' environment.

We could possibly shoot at this church. The mise-en-scene of a church can be very cold and dark looking with very little light entering. The concept of religion could be resembled, and the morals that lie between that and domestic violence.
